Park Ridge Public Library is a member of the North Suburban Digital Consortium which is a group of libraries which provides online access to materials using a product called OverDrive. The OverDrive site allows downloading of OverDrive eaudiobooks and videos through the Overdrive Media Console (a free download) and e-books which can be read using Adobe or Mobipocket software. Each format requires that you download software which is free and available on the website. If the publisher allows, eaudiobooks can be burned to a CD.

Want to try even more? (optional)
Items that you have downloaded to your computer can be put on a portable mp3 player, but not an iPod. The website tells you which players have been tested and found to work with the Overdrive software. Now you can have a whole book on a small, convenient, take-a-long player. Don't have a player? Finish the program and enter your name for a chance to win one.
1. If you have access to an mp3 player, download the book from the Overdrive Media Console to the mp3 player.
2. Listen to a portion of the book.
3. Write a blog post about your experience with this task.
