For this topic, we invite you to explore and get familiar with some of the web sites that many of our patrons use. Suggested sites are listed below, but you are also welcome to suggest sites that you have seen patrons using, or that you are interested in exploring further.
Possible project ideas for this topic:
- Pick several sites from the list to explore, experiment with, and learn about. Use them once a week over the course of the project, and create a handout discussing the pros and cons of each site.
- Pick a networking or game site and find a staff partner who would also like to explore your chosen site. Network with them via the site and spend time using the site weekly. Report on your experiences via a blog or handout. Why would someone use this site? Are there any tips, tricks, or things to watch out for on this site?
